This tip and poll is for people with graphics cards that are using 2 pci-e power connectors.
Whether its new and DOA, unstable, bricked or running just fine, I want to hear from you.
Before you try, take note of how warm/hot your power supply is when at idle and under load.
Tip
Replace one of your built in pci-e power connectors with a 2x 4pin molex to 6pin pci-e adapter. Do not use a 8pin pcie adapter unless your card requires two of them. This will help balance the power/amp draw on the 12v rails.
Doing this, brought a customer's 9800GX2 back to life, last week.
It wasn't bricked. It just needed to be powered properly.
Plz check all that apply.
Peace
