hmm windows will not go back into secure boot after upgrade mobo?

So i installed my new MSI Z77A-G45 motherboard i tried to put my windows in secure boot i been all threw click bios 2 and i have everything set windows 8 mode is on in the bios, secure boot is enabled and set to standard, boot mode is set to legacy+UEFI makes no difference whether i set it to uefi or that as system info says bios is in UEFI mode. i just don't get it everything is set right, gather i did not reinstall windows but it booted up like no tomorrow without issue, i installed the mainboard chipset just in case, to weed out errors if there was any. It said something about it might have been an older version, but it don't look like it changed anything that i can see. So what gives ?? why can't i get secure boot to show as on in windows the bios clearly states it is on?. can someone shed some light on this for me like maybe i'm missing a step in this click bios 2. Could this be because i used my existing windows install, i have no issues other than this no error messages or anything.

Should i do a non destructive reinstall of windows 8.1 with the install media i have, but if i do how would i get the media center part back?. or call it good leave the bios setup like this and wait for windows 10?, does it hurt to not have secure boot?. i mean i may not have had it for a long time as i changed my motherboard for a like mobo a year ago and i heare i could have lost it then as well.

To Check if Secure Boot is Enabled or Disabled in System Information
1. Press the

+ R keys to open the Run dialog, type msinfo32, and press Enter.

2. In the right pane of System Summary in System Information, see what the Secure Boot State value is.

says it is of but it's on in the Bios is wired really strange could it be because i did not reinstall windows. i don't know what to do at this point.

Secure Boot requires a handshake between the OS and UEFI that only happens during the OS install, AFAIK. So, without re-installing Windows you won't be able to get it enabled in Windows.

OH is it going to hurt it at all , as i think i will just wait till windows 10 comes out to do a clean install as i'm not having any issues everything is stable.
