i think they are seasonic built, lemme see if i can pull up the ul file.

They are channelwell. Pretty good OEM, I almost bought one myself but the 500w antec went on sale for 40$ :o

Not a bad power supply. I'd suggest looking elsewhere, possibly a Corsair Antec Seasonic or OCZ, but they are pretty good.

@ShadowFold

I can confirm with you. ChannelWell.

hmm channelwell? im having a hard time reading the ul # but it doesn't look like its channel well's ul number..

Trust me panch. It is.

Its E161451, my friend has the 1200w Xigmatek.

Yeah, I was looking at a Corsair 1000HX and a 750TX as well and saw the Xigmatek and it was a pretty good deal for 750W. This one: seems like a great deal too although its almost too good of a deal! ;)

and its sold to channelwell! :p thanks for helping out with the ul number... i'd recommend the corsair over the xigmatek..though channelwell is a good company now, they have a bad history and i dont really trust em as much as i do pcp&c and corsair, as well as the other seasonic built psu's.

Hey if you got the cash may as well go with the Corsair, 750TX to be specific. Truly have never heard of anything bad about their power supplies.

pcp&c is better

all 3 psus feature 60A of 12v goodness, with corsair and pcp&c with single rails whereas the xigmatek has quad rails. corsiar and pcp&c are manufactured by seasonic (superior) and xigmatek is manufactured by chanellwell technologies(inferior to seasonic).

the most expensive is the xigmatek, with 12 buck shipping and a 10 rebate
middle is pcp&c with free shipping and a 25 buck rebate
corsair is the cheapest with free shipping and a 20 buck rebate

up to this point we can eliminate xigamtek, its inferior to the other 2 and more expensive.

from corsair and pcp&c this is my pick, while both are kick ass psus:

i put pcp&c because:

it has better cooling, and is virtually silent,
pcp&c's are indivually hand tested for reliability and durability
pcp&c is so confident in their psu's that there is a 5 year warranty on all of the parts and labor(there is 10 year on the turbo and other models)
--this also means that anything the psu frys will also be compensated for
--pcp&c hardly has any rma department because they hardly have any psu's rma'd--that really says something.
---the small rma department is actually preety kick ass from the only bad pp&c psu case i've read

and so panchoman's pick: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703019
comes in red black and blue (blue is the newest version, black is the oldest, and red is the middle)

What about enermax? They are a similar price to Corsair here in Aus for comparable wattage but less than pc p&p?

I've heard some good things but never used one? Where would they fit in the xigmatek, corsair pc p&p scale?

Tye

+2
Had no issue's with mine runs a solid 11.98v very rarely goes down too 11.93.

The dam thing can run 2 2900XT's 24/7. And the 2900XT's are one of the most power hungry video cards available. Even more than the GF280.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning on doing with such a big power supply?

I personally don;t see the point of these huge supplys, if you never even Duel GPU setup. If you are planning on one, the 750w Corsair looks to be great. Remember, efficiency over wattage.

I'd take the Corsair over a PCP&C PSU personally...I've used both...my Corsair is more stable and quiter and better cooled. They are also tested to more stringent requirements.

Jonny Guru is hands down the best psu review site on the web. If you read the article up until that point, you'd clearly see that the reviewer is just being humorous.

@panch - The Corsair TX750 is CWT built as well.

@mrw - Corsair and PCP&C use the same test methods.

I Know Wile E but it just seems so wrong.;)

Well there was a few reasons i had the one i did. 1 being future planning or i am going end up with more PSU's than i need. 2 wear and tear PSU's get weaker over time. 3 the watt usage ideal for max efficiency.

EDIT: all so it was said that it was not a silent PSU which i think it is but did not want to end up buying yet another due to it over heating like the last one. Due to us not being able to have the room air conditioned it gets like 90-98f in the house and this PSU has no issue with it..

I recently became the owner of a 750TX and it's made very well. Plenty of cables, quality wiring, and heat is generally a non-issue. As for sound I can bearly tell it's on.

Bought mine from these forums too :D.
