Tbh I always found OBS basic and somewhat lackluster for myself. Xsplit has larger capabilities, but it's paid. If you're willing to of course, that's another story.

I'm sure you're doing something wrong though. OBS should multi-screen.

i watch all config tutorial very carefully and all is done except this issue and i don t understand why. This issue it can be from windows 11 or not?
I mean i config all setting without problem.Only weird thing is this: i don t have split screen when i start the program..Very weird :(

You're running older hardware with it, so it might be a possibility. Are you using the CPU or the GPU for encoding? Try changing it from one another, see what happens.

where i can find setting for Encoding?I don t see it

each window added is done by adding scenes and sources.

where i can find setting for Encoding?I don t see it
settings > output > right below video bitrate.

Not sure where @X71200 is talking about changing encoding, unless he means rendering which is under Video.

it s ok?

You're running GPU in your current setting, you can try with CPU as well but the GPU is probably a better fit here (given the age of those two parts).

thats streaming tab, video encoding is on the Recording tab there.

wait are you streaming or just recording?>

only streaming.why?

i don t have problem with my CPU.I can have streaming at 1080p in any game without problem.I have a potent CPU

i mean i want obs inside obs inside obs to infinity like a mirror.

You're running your GPU's encoder - CPU is OK but aged, your GPU is more capable... as such OBS automatically picks it.

so how can i have obs inside obs inside obs to infinity like a mirror, like other youtube streamers ?For me is still a real dillema why i have only one screen when i start OBS:banghead:

there are in depth youtube videos on Obs settings and how to exactly set it up, helped me when I got obs.

i go back to windows 10 pro x64 and now all is fine. The problem in my case was windows 11.....
All is done now,so win 11 sucks :(
Don t know exactly 100% if version of OBS Studios was the problem ..
In win 11 i had latest OBS Studio ver 27.2.4 and on win 10 i have old version 24.2.
Anyway i don t want latest update.24.2 is what i want

p.s anyway i want to say: OBS is much better than Streamlabs, because power usage on CPU during the livestream is below 2%.With Streamlabs is always on 10-20%.So Streamlabs is power hungry demand.....

Hi,
If recorded play back isn't effected what does it matter ?
Seeing all the same screens over and over inside it's self is really a weird trait I might prefer the 11 updated one

I use screen recorder not streaming even for movie/ series recording not much difference in the two but there is a setting that controls this the 11 updated version is not why.

don t know,i always thought OBS with mirrored screen work much better than with one screen like in win 11.Thas why i m so confusing, because i saw many streamer with mirrored screen in OBS,so probably this is NORMAL:laugh:

Hi,
Well mine on 11 was sort of messed up
Couldn't see taskbar seemed like it was zoomed in but still showed multiple duplicates
So yeah it's tied to preview of multiple windows it has some weird options one must of got selected accidentally

I just did the auto configure option in help I believe and selected my prior full screen and I have a wide screen mode profile to saved and boom there was full screen with everything showing multiple times and wide screen profile showed black areas on top and bottom as it should me being on a 1920-1080 monitor.

Great program love the pause and resume hotkey features hell shareX doesn't have it but it's a very weird program

Think it was because you were in studio made ?

Streamlabs is probably using your CPU, OBS is directing to GPU default. That is likely why. You can select whichever from whatever app manually anyway.

Do streamers need to see your OBS setup? Maybe someone can explain the nuance of being a 1337 minecraft streamer on twitch. I just put OBS on a separate monitor or minimize it and just use my record/stream start/stop keybinds.

You get parallax when you are recording the screen that OBS exists on and I dont know why you would want this, or why its considered cool. I was always under the impression that streaming/recording and catching your OBS window and making a parallax made you look like an idiot.

Maybe im too out of touch. With that said if you wanted the infinity effect just drag OBS over to the monitor source you want to record on?

Someone smarter than me that plays overwatch 90 hours a week feel free to educate me.

Hi,
Yeah I fiddled a little bit but couldn't find the setting to turn off the many previews inside each other
It really is annoying.
I don't stream or broadcast just simple record full or wide screen.
