I've seen several videos on this but I'm a bit confused about what I actually need. Do I need DLSS Swapper and the Nvidia app? What about NV Inspector, and what about DLSSTweaks?
Thanks

Personally I'm using the Nvidia App.
For example:

Then either choose latest or preset K since those are the Transformer models.

Not every game is supported in the Nvidia App so for the rest I don't know since the games I'm playing are luckily supported here.

Thanks, yes I was first and foremost wondering about those games that are not supported in Nvidia App. Should have made that clearer maybe.

I use the DLSS Swapper. I only install what's needed for the Nvidia driver using NVCleanstall. I feel like the Nvidia app is just bloatware. I like NV Inspector as well.

Thanks! I think I'll just have to experiment a bit with this to find the best solution.

Use Special K if the game isn't cheat protected. It can automatically upgrade the DLSS DLL version and change preset on the fly.

Interesting! Will give it a go, thanks!

Yeah, SK is excellent as a low-level tweak tool. It's a great mod. Shame that it's inherently incompatible with anti-cheats. Its frame limiter is bar none the best, it's much better than RTSS or even the driver level one. G-Sync aware presentation tweaks, true HDR screenshots, tonemapping control, texture replacement support, etc. - and that's for the games that don't have targeted fixes. It's always been a staple for me, if a game can support it without risking a ban, it's worth a try, especially if it lacks on the optimization front.

Yesterday I tested using Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI) and DLSS Swapper (DS). The difference in The Talos Principle 2 was significant. Much less blur in vegetation when moving around. Very good!
A couple of further questions though:
1. Do I need both NPI and DS or is it enough to just use DS? (Didn't test this.)
2. I uninstalled the Nvidia app but I'm kinda missing the game filters. Can I simply use Reshade as a substitute for those?

Deal with ReShade is the same deal with Special K, both can trigger anti cheat systems. If the game is not protected, then yes you may - and you can use them both together, as well.

There's a program that someone made that changes one of the Nvidia app files and makes it read only and it lets you apply the latest dlss preset to any game in the Nvidia app regardless if it's officially supported or not. That's what I did and it works great.

Edit: I went through my browser history and found the link for the app : https://github.com/kaanaldemir/DLSS-Override-For-All-Games/releases/tag/v1.1.0
