My cpu is i7-4770k, my motherboard is asus z87-k
I know hwo to disable the C states from BIOS. The problem is I cannot afford to restart my pc into bios each time i need to disable or enable a certain C state. So I looked for a software that can manually enable or disable c states from within windows, and I found throttlestop. Except i do not see how I can disable C6 or C7 state. There's this "Package C state Request" but changing it doesn't do anything, my cpu still goes into C7 state no matter what state is set on that drop-down. Then below there is C1/C3/PKG Demotion/Undemotion, i tried all possible combos with these checkboxes but they only seem to disable C1 and C3 states, i want to disable C6 and/or C7 states, but there are no checkboxes for those. Finally, there's a checkbox "C States - AC" but it always unchecks itself when i press Apply, and then there's an Off/On switch but that disables all c states, i want to disable only C6 and C7 state, how can i do that? I'm talking about the "Core C states" not the "Package C states"
