You already seemed to have managed it Depending on what ram is installed
IF you need more Info then you have to give the Good People on TPU More Info
Such as Screenshots of the mem tab on CPUz
8GB DDR2 900 MHz (4x2) is not that informative

DDR2? You don't, you get a new system....

In all seriousness, I wouldn't bother. You won't really yield any noticeable benefits. Better off just upgrading to a modern system.

Look at some other system specs. Brand/model, voltage and timings are also important to know especially when overclocking and tuning.

I'd suggest you research and learn more about the specific components of your PC before trying to make or request any further changes. One of the most important things you can do is to be more informed about your system.

Sacred rituals and copious quantities of pixie dust...obviously.

Seriously though. Does your motherboard support memory overclocking? If so, then overclock it. If not, you're SOL.

As such, yes, "8GB DDR2 900 MHz" is about as uninformative as it could possibly be. It could be any GB amount, of whatever RAM type, capable of running at whatever MHz. None of that means anything in regards to whether or not, or how, it can be overclocked. It's all about your motherboard.
