How I defended TPU's ninja honor on Discord

Hi fellow TPU members,
have I got a funny story for you...

Contrary to my membership status being from 2021 or something like that,
I've been using TPU software for almost a decade.

I recommended NVCleanstall and TPU's verified, secure and convenient redist package
to a fellow Discord member since they've reported bugs which originate
from not having said redist installed.

Right from the start
from someone who claims they're a developer just cause they "develop" mods for games and who's never even heard of TPU ever (imagine that)
I was attacked by statements how TPU's software might be malware
as it's not downloaded directly from Microsoft or NVIDIA.

I was like a knight in shining armor defending honorable TPU
to the point I once left their server on Discord after stating the facts:
TPU is a leading force in IT software and hardware reviews
who've been spreading awareness about threats since days of the old.

To not go into further details, I was blocked on the server for some time
due to my mighty, knightly defense stance about TPU. :D

Nonetheless, I was accepted once more
and more people now know about TPU.
Some even used their software not knowing it was TPU's
and some came into my defense also.

That's the long and short of it.

Long live Techpowerup!

Sure, that's theoretically possible, you basically have to trust us for the software that we make.

For the Redist package specifically, the exe files are the untouched Microsoft originals, the digital signature is the Microsoft one and it's valid--do check to confirm. The only thing I've added is a batch file that runs them all in one go, and the batch source code is visible to everyone due to the nature of batch file, so no risk really for the redist

Yes, it's theoretically possible, sure. I've agreed with them on that account.
I am also vigilant from where and what I download and install,
but I had to turn the world around to prove that TPU is the one to be trusted.
It was exhausting, but in the end, at least it was good material for a funny story. :)
