What software are you using for checking the CPU speed(graph)? For the GPU I use GPU-Z.

I don't have a secondary display.... I thought that AIDA had graphs for measuring hardware in older versions I think, my current version does not have that anymore!

If you are running windows 8 I think you can see it in task manager, otherwise I am not really sure.

Those are intake vents on the bottom, and there are LT coolers with moveable fans that can be positioned exactly where the vents are.

Even if you just get one of the better affordable models like with 2 stationary 160mm fans, supplying fresh cool air to the entire underside would help.

The underside of LTs get pretty warm. Their feet are also very short. The result is warm air pools under them, which is sucked in by the vents.

Those intake vents are on the ssd, hdd and memory, it's never warm, but ok I never used a LT cooler before so it might help a bit.
