How long does your pc take to boot to windows?

SSDs have been the bare minimum for almost 10 years now. Its one of probably one of the better pieces of tech that changed or shaped the entire industry/consumer market. A real game changer so to speak. Most half decent laptops come with SSDs nower days. Even cheaper laptops come with them but in extremely small sizes like 32gb where there's barely any room for a few apps after windows updates

Ah i see. Yeah IDE is not optimal for running SSD with.

By the way i tried that boottimer software my self and result say 27 seconds (better than my own counting of 38 seconds). Thats respectable i think for hardware released nearly 10 years ago.

POST times haven't changed much since then and CPU power plays little role on booting... its mostly SSD anyway. ;)

Windows 7 on SSD - without actually timing and just an estimated guess: 30-35 seconds to desktop.

Windows 10 on 5400RPM WD Red HDD: roughly half the time my gaming PC, so 15-20 seconds to login screen

Sig rig.

From OFF to Windows 7; 39.94 seconds timed with my phone.
