Hey, if you like, more power too you! People give me crap when I say I love WinME, so I know how you feel.
And I am the only one who liked Vista lol..

Ever try to run Longhorn on a Celery 500?

Real pain right there lol..

I ran it on a PII 333 MHz. Sound and network never worked.

Hey, if you like Win8/8.1
I like 8 sharp, not 8.1. 8.1 is a step back to normies and normies and I don't live on the common terms; mostly because these bricknuggets can't get by with no ye olde start menu. It's like those who only speak metric system. I think you shouldn't be allowed to reproduce if you don't speak at least two measurement systems.

Very nice foresight taking this image so many years ago. Nice computer name btw.

I haven't updated yet because last I checked 24H2 still was not available for me, for some reason. Maybe I didn't refresh my pending updates enough.

No issues on 4 different machines so far been on it since the insider preview builds.

Went for it last night. Updated today again. Everything seems fine. Benchmarks that I have run are with in margin or error. Seems COD BO6 is getting less fps, but it runs smooth none the less and hasn't affect my gameplay. Thanks for chiming in everybody. Appreciated.

Don't feel in a rush. 24H2 doesn't offer anything significant over 23H2.
I'm not in a rush yeah, the only reason to update for me is the borderline generational jump in performance for zen 4 & zen 5 cpus, but at 1440p it wouldn't make much of a difference for me.

24-12-10 is YY-MM-DD lmao.
I know it is, which is why I am saying that you had some incredible foresight taking a picture of you using windows 8 so many years ago knowing that you'd use it in this exact day :)

So, M$FT has finally begun to nag me on this.
I've had the nag pop up for the last couple of days and am thinking about it, I will do it one day.

24H2 offered me a performance uplift, so I downloaded and have never had any problems at all.

Folks, with all the issues that exist for 24H2, it's recommended that you hold off on the update until March or April to get microsoft time to get things sorted out.

24H2 represents a shift for the Windows Kernel. They need time to iron out the wrinkles. Granted, they needed to do that BEFORE releasing the update, but the execs and marketing people have their heads up their bums, so here we are.

And this is happening too. The glitches are situational. Not everyone is having them.

Are we H2 users free beta testers? :D

Too lazy to censor my mail address, I get spammed anyway already

I updated to 24H2, it's fine, it works fine. New peripheral connection sound caught me by surprise, but I genuinely notice no changes.

I've been on 24H2 for two days. Last night, I played about an hour of COD. I browsed the internet, including YouTube. I remoted into work for about 10 minutes. Internet speed tests are nominal.

I have not noticed one single negative issue. It's no different than it was before.

They can have my W10Pro install when they can pry it from my cold, dead mini-me box, hahahaha :)

Until then, fogetttabout W11 in any way, shape or form........at least until it starts working as well as W10 anyways....

Dual boot FTW!

I'm using 24H2, not only do I not "still" have issues, I've never had issues.

I use it on both my PC's.
Laptop: i9-14900HX+4090 Mobile
Desktop: i9-13900KF+RTX 4090

I've been using W11 since the very first leaked dev build in June of 2021. At no point have I ever desired to go back to W10. W11 is just a better version of W10.

There's a lot I don't care for about win11 but I'm slowly getting used to/changing it.

I haven't had any issues (knock on wood)but I still have win10 on both my main rig and main backup rig due to having so many old games etc that I know won't run on 11. Having dual OSes is better than not having that option. If at some point I can find work arounds for 11 I may drop 10 completely but I've grown utterly and completely lazy these last few years, so probably not haha.
