Whats your PC?

I've put about 2500$ into my rig.

my rig cost around $1500 in december '07, with a couple upgrades since then (vid card and ram), pretty sure its worth well under $1000 now.

my i7 rig costs me about 1100

yep lol well when i bought mine it purchased 2 8800GT's both which died, 1 bc i oc'd it too far and ignored atitool's artifact detection lol, and the other idk i let my bro barrow it and got it back having to keep underclocking it. so without those my pc falls below 500 bucks even with monitor. I added it up and i'd sell it all to someone that was computer savy for ~$480, but locally i could probly get $600 or more. But you asked what it's worth lol, though i def don't think my PC sucks and i do not know it if it does :P

EDIT: 7500+ = True Alienware :roll::laugh::roll:

my rig is only about 300 worth of parts, but performs pretty well in games.

how much it worth when i bought it or right now?

If you own true alienware please befriend me!

Anyone wanna make it a sticky so we can get every TPU member to vote?

The dude that said True Alienware please post your system specs.

Do both my rigs count as 1 ??

What is this bullshit?

"Alowed to be called a rig!"

What is allowed to be called a rig is the best price/performance hardware on the top end.
My computer didn't cost 4,000$ because I know how to make 1,500-2000$ run as well as 4,000-5,000$. Moreover, a 'rig' is something you build and overclock and make into the best, not buy everything already set. It's what you do with the hardware you've got that makes it worthy to be called your rig. The lower the price-point, the better.

haha don't come running in here, that's a lot of options i'd have probly named a few to the disliking of someone too. I'm surprised to see most have voted 1500-2000, i was figuring it'd be 500-1000 for the majority.

$500-$1000. So far it's cost me €615/$825

€130 - E4300, ASRock Mobo, 2GB Crucial, X1950 Pro, Asus P5QL Pro, Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum
€100 - 1TB Samsung F1
€175 - Asus X193w
€100 - Antec 900
€110 - Corsair TX650w

i'd say mine was about $430 when i built it. it does what i need it to do.

it does what I need it to do and I have an XBOX 360 hooked to an LG 37" 1080P TV if I feel the need to game or watch movies. ;)

about $3,200 for my main PC.
media PC approx $4,000 (including TV and speakers)

I ticked 5k-7.5k, cause i added em both in

(This is counting everything, my $50 mousepad, $300 dinovo edge keyboard, speakers, soundcards, etc)

edit: of course my prices are in Au, and at the prices i paid for them
Its not like they cost me anywhere near this much, i always resell my old stuff to make up 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of the new hardware.

oh we are talking media PCs as well?????

oh we are talking media PCs as well?????

dunno... the OP didnt consider people having multiple PC's.

"How much is your hardware worth?"

not how much is your main PC worth, etc. (hell if i wanted to be a douche, i could add in networking gear :P)

TPU isn't about who has the most expensive hardware, it's about turning a $400-$500 rig into a $1k+ rig, speaking from a standpoint of performance.

$300-$500- It sucks and the owner agrees
that perfectly describes my pc. the cpu and ram is all good but:
1- i cant ovelclock
2-the button fo the dvd drive is unreacheable:shadedshu
3-some times the gpu tells me to murder someone

If I was too sell it loaded with everything in it.

Right now with the RIGHT person it could go for 4-5k

That's phase/ Dual pumps/ Dual Rads/ Meanwell/1K PSU/Custom panited case/

Heck even Dell does not offer what's in this box, nor does Alienware just in CPU/DDR3/Video cards.

Poll should be multiple choice so that we can enter ALL our rigs SEPERATELY, otherwise, you get the total of the best bits from each.

Do you want people to incl. the cost of screens and other peripherals? Like scanners and printers, NAS/media servers and audio recording equipment? That really skews the numbers...

screen and peripherals is where most of my money is.
