How to control four fans at once?

If its a 4 pin fan you don't need a controller or a hub, you just need to make a custom harness.

I have three 120mm fans controlled by my CPU PWM and 2 140mm fans controlled by my VGA's PWM.

yellow = tachometer
blue = pwm control
red = +12v
black = ground

The plug attached to the motherboard's header has yellow and blue wires only. No red and black wires. The board will "see" only one fan via the yellow tach wire and dictate its speed control to that fan using the blue wire. The blue wire is split so it runs to all fans, giving all fans the same PWM control as the primary fan.
This primary fan will have yellow, blue, red, and black leads.

The other fans will have blue, red, and black leads, no yellow.

All red and black leads run to a 4 pin molex so the power that actually turns the fan motor comes from your power supply directly, not from the motherboard. Again, the plug going to the motherboard only has yellow and blue. No red or black.

This thing can control speed of 3pin fans? Or just 4pin?

That motherboard has enough fan headers and they are all fully controllable by pwm OR dc, no hub necessary

Pretty sure it also has a header for an asus fan extension if you want to add even more too

Specs show it will not control 3-pin fans....

Just a quick google search shows Phanteks claims this hub http://www.phanteks.com/PH-PWHUB.html will give PWM control over 3-pin fans.

Some modern (Asus only?) mobos will let you control 4-pin and 3-pin fans just the same, sometimes on all fan headers sometimes not.. Check the, you know it: manual.

Yup, since skylake, and possibly on z97 too ALL headers on rog boards are pwm (4 pin) AND dc (3pin) and fully controllable, i have the worst skylake maximus and use it to control 3 pin and 4 pin fans, and even an ek d5 pwm pump

Yes its just the the fans are far away and I'd need to buy 4x extensions to get to the mobo. I might just do that. Sick of the house of them running full tilt all the time whilst I'm trying to focus on my work lol
