How to fix a button on a controller which sticks sometimes ?

Well like the title said, I have a slight problem which while I can live with it I'd rather fix it if possible.

Recently after a few weeks , I spilled some OJ on my PS3 controller and I made sure to clean it on the outside as much as possible. Ofcourse after sometime my "action " keys (Triangle, Square, X, Circle) started to stick and I wanted to clean it from the inside. After disassembling my controller I cleaned it with Alcohol and Q-Tips thoroughly (few hours of cleaning), and the keys worked again like new.

Now the problem that I have is that whenever I press my Triangle key, it sometime tends to stick a little (split second) and if pressed hard (like when button mashing in some games) it sticks in for a second or two.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try ?

Thanks

Take it apart and use 70% alcohol to clean under the pads.

If it is sugar it won't help... sugar doesn't dissolve in alcohol... distilled water only...

The buttons itself you can wash in warm watter with Fairy...

Let everything not electonic soak in some soapy water. Clean, dry and done.

make sure you take the time to disassemble it properly, you'll be glad you spent the extra time when you put it back together, and as stated above, soapy water, and Alcohol can help (for the controller And You) ;)

Just wondering but is it possible to put the rubber membranes in a wrong order ?

All sides look the same to me.

thats why taking pic's helps as you dissassemble :)

idk about the buttons, and i know that's what you're asking, but my joy sticks on a 3rd party ps3 controller started sticking after it sat collecting dust for a good 2 yrs. cleaned it with alc and que tips, still sticking. Grabbed some

(PB Blaster) and worked it around with que tips and idk if i've ever had better thumbsticks. I imagine it would most deifnitely help with sticking buttons after a thorough Alc cleaning. Again Que tips if you do use it as it does spray out super fast and idk if drowing the membrane would be good lol

Unfortunately I forgot to do that, there are some letters and numbers on each membrane but I can't find find from other disassembly videos where they should be placed.

Well, I went and cleaned it with the soapy water after disassembling it again, now the sticky thing at the triangle button is no more but now when I press it, it produces that sound as you would rub your finger on a clean glass heh.

It doesn't matter as I can live with it, thanks again everyone.
