how to initialize my new drive?

i have just put in a new 250gb samsung drive,but it dont show up on my computer.

heres how my system drives are setup-

do i need to initialize it or something? and is it on the right port?

my raid ones are one and two.the samsung is on three and the dvd/r is on port two.

what do i do?

Right click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management >Right Click Disk > Initialize

I believe so as long as you are gonna use it as secondary storage.
