It would be impossible to answer this, depends on your motherboard and what features it has. Try increasing the multiplier or clock frequency bus.
Your system is old, any small increase will not help performance, it isn't worth the agro. What applications are you having difficulty running, you'd be better off dropping $300 for a huge upgrade.

Edit:

Ah I see, I just checked your previous posts.

You want to play NFS undercover. That game will never run well on a 9500 GT especially with a Pentium 4, even with a small overclock.

If NFS undercover is what you want to play return the 9500 GT, give us a budget say $300-400 and we wil make that happen :)

I hear you my friend I'm from Asia too computer hardware here is expensive but still if you can afford those then it wont be a problem

well where you from?? i dont have so much money to buy.. i just try to upgrade my board n change ram ddr2 n yesterday just buy a 9500GT back.. LOL..

i dont think you have a choice, if you want to play the games you have invest in the hardware, otherwise deal with the lag. I think last time you posted about this i gave you a recomendation on how to proceed. Just try to save some $$$, buy a couple of components at a time if you have to. There is not much else i can recomend beyond that.

Philippines... don't go cheap on videocard as it is the most important hardware on gaming. Truly hardware upgrade is important if you want to play the current games on a decent FPS

agreed, try to get the best you can but make sure your CPU isnt a bottleneck either, so an upgrade in that area is in order. I say return that 9500GT ASAP, and invest that money into something better.

haha.. its really.. now my proceses slow.. play NFS still lag.. i think now its proceses problem.. haih.. LOL.. cause i saw it youtube have people use same card 9500GT just at proceses too different...

how about i change to 9600GT 512MB ddr3?

Processor does help increase performance but not much heck even my 9600GT is struggling on NFS undercover turned shadows off and I got a nice performance boost

BTW that's on 1280X1024

if i change the video card to high end but anyway also will effect lag cause my proceses slow?

As everyone's suggestions u should consider upgrading the entire hardware

wait a minute, do you have an AGP or PCI-e board? But yea, your P4 will bottleneck any higher end card, its prolly doing it to this card as well.

my friend just buy a new cpu.. 2.6ghz C2D,2gb ram ddr2 n HD4670.. his video card cheaper than me a bit.. but he play NFS undercover full effect no lag.. =X HD4670 will better than 9600GT?

ok.. i just change the board.. so now runing 2gb DDr2 ram, PCIE slot 9500GT with P4 2.4ghz 478 socket =X

first off, HD 4670 is considerably better than 9500GT, thats one of the reasons he has no lag. And if the 4670 was cheaper than why in the world you got a 9500GT? Second, he has a C2d CPU, another reason why hie performance is better. If its possible, return that 9500GT and get 4670 and start saving for a new CPU/board.

i see that you didnt listen to me. too bad, at least that would've given you a chance to get a better card later and have a good CPU now.

9600GT is worlds better than a 9500GT, but its still not going to run well on a pentium 4.

very true, and its better than 4670 but not by a whole bunch. But if the 4670 is cheap over there why not get it?

yea.. i try to upgrade though can get gaming.. but same thing problem.. =( now my com better than before change board.. just gaming same problem.. LOL.. morning i try call the sale can change to HD4670 or not.. if cant i have to change 9600GT.. so 9600GT is better than HD4670?? i buy 9500GT cause that time he say its same like HD4670 card.. LOL.. haih..

I'm going to try and clear this up, because this conversation is going around in circles:

1.) The 9500 GT isn't a gaming graphics card, its for watching movies such as blu-ray content, you might get away with playing old games on it.

2.) The Pentium 4 is not enough for gaming. Even if you were to upgrade to a faster processor the 9500 GT would hold you back.

3.) Even if you were to upgrade to a better graphics card the Pentium 4 will hold you back!

4.) You need to upgrade the processor to at least a dual core setup with a gaming graphics card.

5. ) The Core 2 Duo processors are newer and has a faster architecture than the Pentium 4. The core 2 Duo is a dual core too.

6. ) The 4670 is WAY faster than the 9500 GT, I suggest that if you have an PCI-E slot buy at least a 4670

if i change the video card to high end but anyway also will effect lag cause my proceses slow?

7.) Yes, don't ask this question again as we've answered this many times before. :)

yea.. in malaysia many people buy AMD.. but.. bad in programing.. my friend said they use AMD to do their software homework laggy.. other friend said Intel no laggy.. same software n graphic card..

8. )You are better off buying a cheap AMD dual core if it means that you can play games at an affordable price. :)

Edit:

if cant i have to change 9600GT.. so 9600GT is better than HD4670?? i buy 9500GT cause that time he say its same like HD4670 card..

The 9600 GT is slightly faster than the 4670, but they are on the same level. If you can find a 9800 GT I would recommend that or a ATI 4850, but like we've said aready your Pentium 4 might restrict performance.

-I'd buy the cheapest AM2+ or socket 775 motherboard (with PCI-E)
-Athlon 5800+ X2 or E5400
-Atleast 2/4GBs PC6400
-Atleast a 4670 or 9600 GT, recommended is a 9800GT or ATI 4850 :)
