Hello, this AMD setup is my first since decades ago. I want to know how to properly setup this CPU, RAM, and Motherboard. I figured the EXPO I already, so running my memory properly. Which was the easiest thing, since we have those on Intel motherboards as XMP. I want to run my CPU 1:1. How to properly set FCLK Frequency. What it should be at. I see it as AUTO. My memory is CAS 28, 6000MHz. I already went into the memory timings and set UCLK DIV1 MODE to UCLK=MEMCLK. What is 1:1:1? Have i already done a few of them? Can anyone help me with this build?

Ryzen 9800X3D
Asus Prime X670E-PRO WIFI Bios: 3067 (I flashed it to this, it had a much older version when i got it)
TEAM 2x16GHz 6000Mhz CAS 28

You are good on the memory. It's in 1:1 FCLK and MCLK at 3000MHz and the FCLK is 2000MHz by default.

Thanks for the reply. So set the FCLK Frequency to 3000?

If i'm setting the frequency right for the FCLK and it doesn't boot, then it can't do 1:1, right?

Nope that is exactly how it should be
Fclk= 2000MHz 3 x 2000MHz = 6000MT/s
Memclk/uClk = 2 x 3000MHz = 6000MT/s
so 1:1

Okay, so i guess i got it tuned and setup correctly. No need to overclock since it's the fastest cpu on the market and besides with so much going around how they are burning up, i would probably stay away from overclocking this processor for awhile. It doesn't boot sometimes and that's what they also have been talking about.

When it doesn't boot sometime it's to do with memory context and retraining of ram you can try turning on memory context restore this should stop it from trying to retrain the memory on every boot

You can read the post #3 from below for some context.

Do you mean the "Memory Context Restore"? It's on auto in the bios. Should i just enable it, or it's fine?

Yes enable it leaving it on auto is tantamount to having it disabled which means retrain on every boot

Would it make any difference in gaming if i change the Fclk Frequency from 2000 to 21xx? Is 2200 very hard to reach due to the silicon lottery? What difference does it even make when you overclock or change the fclk from it's default 2000? Will it screw up the other 1:1 frequencies if i change the default fclk 2000 to anything higher?

I would just live it and enjoy. There is hardly anything to be gained from that, and yes, it will throw off the other frequencies in the system. The fclk is what allows the CPU cores, RAM, and on chip IO to communicate and talk with one another. Changing it to run beyond default can introduce latency and instability in the system. It will also likely force the system in decoupled mode.

Unless you are shooting for some sort of World Record speed runs on synthetic benchmarks, you are best served leaving it alone.
