How to undervolt the i9 12900KF using ThrottleStop?

Hello guys!

I'm getting BSODs when I'm trying to reduce the temps of my i9 12900KF processor. I can change the CPU core to -125mV, but, when I change the CPU cache to the same value (or half of it), I just get a BSOD/crash.

How to configure the i9 12900KF, when using ThrottleStop 9.4 or 9.5? I'm using 9.4 right now, but I also tried the 9.5. I didn't find a video for this cpu.

Can you help?

Thanks!

Adjust both the CPU core offset voltage and the CPU P cache offset voltage together until you find a point that is 100% stable. After that, then you can try adjusting the core and cache to different values to see if using different values is better or worse.

Start conservatively. How about -50 mV for both the core and the cache.

I didn't find a video for this cpu.
Most people with desktop computers set the voltages in the BIOS.

Thanks for your reply. I will search for a video showing how to change it through the bios then.

I've successfully undervolted my 12700KF by -140.6 mV and you only need to apply the offset to the core for it to work.

I still see the lower temperature and power consumption benefits without cache undervolting and performance is still as expected for stock numbers. I compared before and after results using Cinebench R23 and the savings are on the order of 40-50W. temperatures are reduced by 10 C, so it is working as expected.

I made a thread about this on the forum. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...2700kf-using-throttlestop.301327/post-4886709

My 10850K works the same. Only the ThrottleStop offset core voltage adjuster needs to be adjusted. With some CPUs both the core and cache sliders had to be adjusted but that is not the case on this motherboard with this CPU.

The big drop in power consumption and temperatures makes it pretty obvious when something like this is working.
