How to use a chiller for daily?

first run from warm is longest naturally but i would say 2-3 min to get to set temp back again and that is with 750watt halea on the system in my sig

if i game it comes up 2x per hour for 2-3 min to hold temp

That's not dew point, you're setting it at ambient or more.
It was my mistake, i set the temp 5c above the dew point.

Had a Thermometer inside the case to measure the dew point.

Then moved the Build that was in the Cougar Panzer case to a Lian LI V3000

Just bought this. It has a 10L reservoir inside. Lets see if it can hold the temp or not.

curious about the Penguin chiller but the extra reservoir makes that thing not looking good.

Don't you already have two big external rads? Why do you need a chiller on top of that??

A chiller will drop temps more than multiple rads. If you're going big as FireFox has a chiller is the way to go, much better than a refrigeration system that will cause condensation and kill your components a chiller just makes the water room temperature quicker.

That was meant for the OP. I know what a chiller does, that wasn't the question.

Koolance is junk, but you already bout it lolz..

80% of TPU's Threads are AMD related issues, for one reason or another :p
And thus, AMD has been selling more than Intel in market share in the retail CPU market. So...

Summer is comming and my ambient is hot and my cooling system has 3c delta.Chiller will bring the liquid temp down.

Hi,
From what if read using a chiller one doesn't use fans on rads because room air is hotter and it defeats the purpose.

We recommend integration of the chiller into the cooling loop in combination with a radiator. This allows use of the chiller when required (overclocking, Benchmarks, summer etc..) and use of the radiator during normal operation.

Before i read that in their homepage i already had my Waterchiller Setup with a front Rad + 3 fans, if you think about it when you have a front Rad and the Chiller is on the water and Rad gets cold and so you will have cold air circulating inside the case which keeps others components cold.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a Chiller
Also why does firefox hate on amd so hard?

Waterchiller
Some Chillers are Capable of lowering temperatures below 0c

@mrthanhnguyen
This is an old Thread.

Why not just use a window AirCon and blow directly into the PC, like what JayzTwoCents did.
No need to worry about condensation because AirCon strip water content out of the air, thus its cold air has low dew point (Something like 5C dew point)

because in europe not many peeps have a AC and i never had probs with condensation on these chillers

Also why does firefox hate on amd so hard?
A better question is why certain people are determined to make a thread about chillers a brand war... they know who they are.

Is that me if so that's not the case just kinda wondering why some people hate AMD so much

If you are wondering if it's you, it's probably not you.

OP is living in the States I think.
Aircon can be used throughout the year, meanwhile chiller make no difference when dew point is so close to ambient, which should happen sometime throughout the year?

Hi,
I too was pondering a water chiller but seeing it's a one use thing well two really fish and water cooling
I opted for air chiller seeing I can use a portable air conditioner for outdoor events for a cool zone and also if my homes ac goes out there it is and main purpose being giving more overclocking room.

If I got saltwater fish I'd opt for a water chiller.

If room Relative Humidity is close to 100% yes. Dew point is close to ambient.
But not if you use a dehumidifier in the room to keep RH as low as possible in places with high RH that is... so throw another 150~200W at least in there... :D

Keeping RH around 50% on 22°C ambient, dew point is around 12°C. Around 40%, dew point drops to 8°C for same ambient (22).

Come on guys, no Intel/AMD bashing there's no need :) It's about chillers not the CPUs.

Please don't try to start wars, it's really not needed.

Personally, I'd love to try a chiller, I'd like to hope that the temps you could possibly hold in a nice sized res would help the temps of any CPU.. I wonder however though, is the cost of running one high and more so to have one going 24/7....? I know they only kick in when needed which is like an air con etc. to keep the temps correctly in a particular set range but ....

Anyone know a big reservoir with g1/4 thread? Like 2 gallons to 5 gallons?
