HULU.com problem or Graphics card ???

Just a shot in the dark.. but in command prompt type: "ping hulu.com /t" with out the "". Let it run for a while and check for request time/out's. With a good connection you shouldn't see any.. but if you do then.. that's bad.. I would monitor it for at least 30 mins. Like i said this may not be it at all but worth a try....

It's a flash player problem that isn't fixed. Unless you can find some older versions of flash player, most of us are screwed until they fix it.

Yeah, I installed them after reading the "fixes" and thought it would work but it's so odd. I can watch Hulu or what ever FLASH video if I don't put it FULL SCREEN. If I put it full screen it unwatchable. That's the biggest problem. I guess it could be my system specs just aren't up to par with today's technology. The oddest thing is my brother's laptop running a socket 775 with Vista I believe runs just fine full screen. But his Desktop PC full screen is unwatchable and so is mine. I am assuming it's the OS along with needing probably a dual core system that's causing me fits. But I've had HULU as a favorite for awhile now and it seems like the more they update FLASH PLAYER the more CPU intense it becomes. With a single core even @ 3.6GHz it just can't keep up. Right now I have Win. 7 set to look like Windows 3.1 LOL and somethings still sucking my CPU to death. My CPU temp jumps to 58C while HULU is playing from 39C idle. That there tells me the recent FLASH PLAYER is extremely CPU intense.

I've tried older versions of flash player but I get an error when trying to watch Hulu. It tells me I don't have the recent Flash Player installed and thus will not play. Kinda sucks. I liked being able to pick a show and sit back and watch it.

oops... almost forgot. Didn't get any time/outs. - 55ms constant.

You can check out my system specs to the left. My question is: Why can't I watch anything on HULU.com 'FULL SCREEN' without it being jerky? I can watch DVD's, other sites, etc. But when I hit HULU my computer turns to mush! I've tried Google and tried all the suggestions but so far nothing is helping. :banghead: :( Anyone else have this problem.

My internet connection is 2MB/s 'Road Runner' ... Speedtest shows excellent speeds both up and down.

first of all, get rid of the overclock.

I suggest that you uninstall Flash, Reader, etc.
Next Reboot your PC
Once you see the desktop bring up regedit
Goto Edit then Find and type Adobe. Delete all entries that you are sure of relating to Flash, Reader, etc
After that is complete enter Flash as your next Find option. Wash and repeat.
Once completed reboot the PC then reinstall flash, reader, etc. See if the problem stops then.

ALL SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN TRIED.... full screen still very jerky. Full screen HD is extremely jerky. It's a Flash Player problem. New operating system , fresh install of all Adobe Media. Flash Player sucks.

I just tried something that worked for my issue. Right click the video, Settings, tick the file tab and move the slider to unlimited. I was throttling my bandwith.

I'll check that out. I just reinstalled everything to do with Firefox, Flash, Adobe so hopefully something helps out.

yeah.. hulu desktop plays horrible. I'm just gonna say screw it. It's to dependent on the cpu and with windows 7, AGP graphics, Pentium 4 (S/478) it's just old hardware trying to keep up with new software. But thanks everyone who gave input. I appreciate it.

Sweeper , I think you just may be absolutely correct and apologies for not catching this earlier but Hulu says like you say.
Minimum requirements:

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz

At least 2.0 GB of RAM

Windows XP or later

Also hulu states : Do you experience video stalling problems only during fullscreen mode? If so, try lowering your desktop resolution

Did you try with lowered resolution? which if that smooths play then yes your hardware is too dated.

Haven't lowered the resolution but thought about it. It's a Soyo 22" LCD @ 1680 x 1050 @ 60Hz. Anything different the screen gets HUGE! LOL. SO it is hardware vs software in my case. Also I noticed my brothers laptop is a Core 2 Duo which is why it plays fine.

Hey Sweeper. As you know, I've got the same problem as you. My guess is incompatibility between Win 7 64 and crappy Flash. I didn't have any problem with Vista tho...

UPDATE:

I have just installed the 10.1 Beta 2 and it seems to work much better than previews beta. Give it a shoot, and tell me if is any difference.:ohwell:
