In 90F (32C) room compared to 50F (10C) room your cpu would increase idle temperature and load temperature around 22 celcius.
I would expect your cpu to run around 34-35'C idle on 90F (32C) room and i would expect your cpu idle 14-15'C on 50F(10C) room.

What i personally think it is, room temperatures are higer than before and its causing it specially if its not air conditioned room.

I'm now convinced there must be some sort of weird issue at play given @nomdeplume stated load temps are ~10c higher as well.

Maybe take a look in your BIOS? This is really a longshot, especially given that H series board, but maybe that program or something else changed something in the BIOS causing odd behavior. You can't magically just make something run 10c hotter for no reason...

I've been hunting for two days now. Reseated the cooler, physically pored over the board for damage, uninstalled/reinstalled a chunk of programs, opened the BIOS and didn't see anything awry, etc. and so on. Tonight I looked at every option in the BIOS and found something that inexplicably got changed in the month since I'd updated it. I know I never dug this far into the BIOS.

CPU is 25C as I type this with a few other programs open. ROG RB is long since erased. Thank you again for your diplomacy and helpful attitude.

That's what we're all about :)

What happened in the BIOS that caused your temps to increase?

It may not report accurately but it sure maintained the second ideal condition of reporting consistently. Using Hwinfo or CoreTemp.

TIM is 3-4 months old and does not see heavy and lengthy periods of high temps. This is a fairly simple equation of used X program and Y problem occurred.
It’s not actually a problem. There is nothing wrong with an idle temp of 34. This is normal behavior after an intensive workout for the computer. Some residual heat will stay for quite awhile inside the case and in the cpu.

Not really. While an idle temp of 34 is fine, it's not fine when your usual idle temp is 25 (and the load temps are also following the same pattern of being roughly 10c higher). And no, heat doesn't linger around that long. I mean, in the very first post he says he shut down the computer and the next day it was still 10c higher. That's quite odd.

I'm not trying to dig at anyone here, but in addition to the usual lack of reading comprehension (or just plain reading) in this thread, the flat out dismissal of there being a problem at all is staggering. The temps may still be fine, but the fact that they jumped 10c for some unknown reason is not!

Ok, I completely forgot about that part about the next day as I saw the tone the OP took with people. It completely flabbergasted me. When someone is hostile from the get-go and then continues with multiple people, it certainly doesn’t help with diagnosis.

I’m actually quite amazed at the 25c idle, which we all know in a very warm room (he said it was 90F) is not going to last more than the first few minutes after startup for nearly anyone. Claims like this make it hard to exactly figure out what went wrong.

He said it was 50f. He said later it idled at 28c in a 90f room, if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe OP could have been a bit nicer in his replies, but I understand how frustrating it can be to continually be misunderstood, or just told you don't have a problem when you know better. I don't mean to stir up the pot, but what happened, happened... just pointing it out.

Exactly. That’s where I got the 90 from.

I subbed from this mess.

@rtwjunkie That really helped this already resolved issue. I was especially appreciative of your effort to quote me so the strafing comments with no real good reply to them being possible got noticed.
