i know this is not drectly related to nvidia gpu but it could effect you as it did me for over a week.

why?

my system was acting up(low fps, sound cutting out) which i thought was related to my sound card and nvidia hd audio.

then i remember installing service pack1 overnight and completley forgot about it.

decided to rebuild from scratch without sp1 and BINGO.

no more x-fi or nvidia issues.

beware guys, ms may have screwed w7 as theres a lot of sp1 issues out there.

ill take a system image later and then apply sp1 to be sure.

hope this helps.

I have no issues with a X-Fi and nVidia on SP1. And this is an old install, and I even switched from an ATI setup to my 580.

Your testing isn't exactly very scientific. You should probably have more proof before making such broad claims.

+1 and Ditto on what Wile E said.
I have multiple systems running ATi(AMD) and Nvidia. I have had no Problems with SP1 on Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit.

Games and sound all OK here.

No problems here with Nvidia and SP 1. Working smooth:)

running W7 with X-fi no problems either

You should definitely try to contact Microsoft so they can work on a hotfix for you and anybody else potentially affected.

no problem for me, i got Supreme X-Fi on my Asus Maximus III Gene running on my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x86 not program ^^

and Nvidia Driver 270.51 Beta.

X-fi Titanium+ Gtx570 on latest beta driver No Probs with Sp1

I'm really glad to hear all these positive responses.

The fact still remains, my system went down the tubes after installing it.

I'm NOT the only one either.

It may just be my X-FI Card ? I use the Extream Gamer edition and other people have issues with Creative and SP1.

thanks for all the comments.
