Everything I click on a link it opens up a new tab.

I have rebooted unplug my mouse and keyboard. Unplug the keyboard and just used the mouse and I did a system restore. I still have this silly problem a new tab opens up on every link I open.

Any ideas? Maybe a bad mouse?

silly question, but its not just some option in ie7 is it?

Your problem is using IE7 ;)

I'm sorry, I don't really use IE7, I can't help you, try digging around in the options :).

Is your left mouse click set to left click, and not mouse 3?

When you press mouse 3 (the middle button), a new tab is meant to open.

Go to Internet options > tabbed browsing options > restore defaults. See if that clears it up.

Oh and get firefox.:p

try this: tools (get the taskbar back first though!!!!!!!!! :banghead: <---that's without it for me)>internet options> tab settings (button that says settings under the tabs section) and in the last box it'll say something like "when ie wants to open a new window...open in a new window...open in tab in current window in new tab....or the current open tab. you want open tab in current window in new tab? or either the current open tab, w/e floats your boat

EDIT: i didn't read your first post right, pick open in new window

Well it seems to be the standard button now:shadedshu. I fix it thanks to you so it seems.

That was so easy that I feel dumb now....I was about to reinstall over that LOL.

I like tabbed browsing :)
