I built a i7 2600k a few weeks ago. Overclocked it to 4.5. Been having good encoding times with video but some sluggish performance around the desktop and lock ups occasionally.
Switching out memory to see if that was the problem.
Tonight went deeper into my bios and changed voltages out of auto and BAM!
I am talking about a 200 percent improvement over my stock build. This thing zips like I have never seen before and I had a 7.8 windows index score before. (Not that that means much, but damn)
