What do you think? I just used ThrottleStop to adjust Clock Mod to 12.50% and had multiplier in it set to 4. Here's the CPU-Z submission, it was very slow at 50MHz so I had to launch CPU-Z while running without Clock Mod, then enable the clock mod at 12.50% again on the Validation page (and click submit) Intel Celeron N3350 @ 50.3 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR (x86.fr)

It’s taken at least a hour to get to this point
Once I benchmarked a 1.4 GHz single core Sempron in Cinebench R20. It took 3 hours and 15 minutes

Sempr0n..

Jeebus.

Uh, wow. I think.

When the RC5-64 encryption challenge was running over 2 decades ago I decided to try decoding a block of keys on a Mac Plus. Original 8 MHz 68000, same as the original 1984 Mac.

Yeah.

After 2 weeks, being about 1/3 the way through the block I decided that maybe I should give up.

It’s been about 4 hours so far since I clicked Start and it’s still preparing project. The time in the bottom right is a few hours behind but you get the idea

I really want to see it finish now, even if it takes a day lmao

24 hour update: it is going, but very very slowly. Roughly a minute or two per little piece of each block, but it just finished the first block as of typing this and is working on 2nd and 3rd blocks.

Correction, it’s far slower

You can doo eet!

OK, see you in 2 weeks.

i have a Samsung N150 netbook ... with an Atom ... should i ...

excellent thread nonetheless, i like that!

This morning, I discovered it’s no longer waking up. Power lights are still on however I don’t know if it’s still responsive since there’s no sound.

Shall I unplug it and try this again? Battery doesn’t work so unplugging it will work to shut it off.

Does it respond to capslock/numlock/scroll lock commands? if no, then I would restart it and adjust the power settings to never sleep, never hibernate, never turn off. Might be annoying to have a night light for a week, but if this is what its good for what have you got to lose?

I sleep with my desk lamp on all night, no light bothers me a lot so never sleeping will be fine haha

Regardless, it is unresponsive to caps/num/scroll lock commands and the external keyboard I plugged in is not getting any power. I’ll restart it and hope for the best!

edit: windows said “Please wait while we install a system update” and then failed to flash a UEFI firmware update because the battery is cooked, so in other words I blame Windows Update

Update, at 10:30PM EST, for reference: I have pressed Start on the test, it’ll be fun to see how long it takes.

Better luck this time!

Is it connected to the internet?

Btw he asked about internet, because of Windows update. Yank it off. Go offline.

Wish you had a screenshot of these blocks...

Had to do it again because Cinebench just wouldn’t even try to render the scene after it loaded the project. Started it at 10:07PM here so this’ll be interesting.
