i managed to flash 7790 to r7 260x with no problems

what has this got to do with the thread
because flashing a bios on a other wise identical card does not improve performance when a older generation card still runs circles around it

no properly not but will give bug fixes and make driver support last longer

you obviously having trouble with your head xD . Firmware(BIOS) gave support to disabled features , and increased level of officially OC . (as this gives better optimization and support(including driver))
P.S. optimize Mantle is implemented better for R7 260x

what about the 6950 that could be flashed to 6970 and you got performance gain and there where identical

I am glad you had a successful flash. You get longer driver support and better performance now, And for free. NICE!

this proves that 7790 (with a probability of 99.9%) has hardware support TrueAudio

7790 is 85W TDP..... 260x is much higher.... so i dont see how there will be any improvements if at all.
yes you can now cfx with another 260x but i think thats it...

It wasn't proven before in this thread (Greiverblade's clarifications in July)? Are YOU "having trouble with your head"? :p

Being serious, thanks for the 'sticker' confirmation...again. :)
