I need help deciding if i want to clear tpm or leave it alone

I was in the middle of resetting my laptop and it asked me to clear tpm or not and im not sure what i should do. I still want to use my laptop i just reset it because its a little under 4 yrs that ive had it and it started running slowly to the point where opening task manager would take 10 mins to open. If anyone could help id greatly appreciate it
 
TPM means Trusted Platform Module. its a chip on your mobo that helps with bitlocker and bitlocker encrypts your drive. and did it finish with resetting?
