Download HWmonitor from the people who make cpu-z and see if that reports the same temp.

I noticed on my board (although completely differant to yours) that speedfan reported all my temps wrong. It thought my processor was at -43 on air!

thank you. I was looking at my bios and they're all under 33c I think its a error on speedfan. At least I hope soo.

can you explain so I know how im ok?

:toast:

i have had 6 boards that say the same thing for temp 3 its jsut speed fan being crazy

thank you dude. I was running a temp gauge on the board trying to find it.

First see if fan is working and CPU cooler is siting properly on the CPU than with powered computer touch the Cooler if it 80C than you will burn your hand but I don`t thing that reading is correct.

Could be speed fan not yet updated for some boards, that happened to me too, when I was building my friends rig. It didn't properly show the temp for the mobo.

download CPU Hardware monitor, its alot more accurate and you don't get those weird ass temp numbers. what do you have for cooling?

Temp3 is probably broken, watch it and see if it changes. If it doesnt change then it is broken/not being used.

well, what i don't understand is what exactly temp 3 is, it could be the gfx card for all we know. without proper identification is no way of knowing what temp 3 is.

4 c? that cant be right

i would start feeling heatsinks if that is a true reading. even my cpu cores under air at 65c you could feel the heat.

Both my HDD's reached about 100 degrees in my cosmos s and crashed over and over so touch the hdd and if it burns then it might be right.

that sucks, i personally think the chipset is overheating under load, that is the only thing ive ever noticed but then again im on an intel rig, haven't been on AMD for a few years.

If thats for the chipset then thats almost normal, at least for me it is mines is at 95 degrees and has a fan blowing on it.

I've felt everything in my case and everything seems fine
the northbridge heatsinks are a little warm but nothing that alarmed me.
