I just bought an 6700xt and im having visual problems in games like blurriness and anti-aliasing not working I made some videos to show what Im experiencing I tested on three games cyberpunk, destiny 2, and gta, all of them which show visual glitches my GPU is running at stock settings, up-to-date drivers, updated bios, used DDU as well, tried a different monitor, stock settings on bios, do not know what else to do but do an RMA form.

PC Specs if this helps-
1080p 60hz lg monitor quite old but then tested on a newer monitor a 165hz 1080p freesync msi monitor still saw same results
RX 6700XT
Intel i5-10400f
B560M PRO AUROS AX
Intel 660p nvme 1tb ssd
750w corsair psu

Cyberpunk Test- The shadows flickering in the distance and seeing bad anti-aliasing issues

Destiny 2 Test- Flickering on trees and grass shadows a lot of jagged anti-aliasing and blurriness in the cars from a distance

GTA Test- Shadows flickering on buildings and bad anti-aliasing on windows and such

From the videos, I don't think your card is broken, because I'd expect the issues to be much more serious than this (like serious performance degradation, weirdly block-coloured textures). The flickering in particular is typical game engine / driver type stuff, but it does seem unusually blurry and lacking sharpness, especially with the cars in Destiny 2 and the foliage in Cyberpunk. It's almost like you're using the IGP instead of the GPU (except you're not obviously, cos you don't have one).

Are you using any game profiles in the drivers? Have you tried doing a factory reset (I forget AMD's term) when you install/uninstall them?

Have you ever installed any third party driver tools, monitoring software, performance boosters, or anything like this?

You could try some much older drivers?

I see nothing wrong, try the AMD Forum for drivers.

If it's not crashing then there is no issue.

Also flickering occurs on greeneyes as well...

Isnt GTA pretty old now?

If you look at gameplay with the same hardware as mine its way different in terms of visuals well not way different but you can notice a difference in the shadows and anti-aliasing i dont know how to explain it thats why i made videos to show whats happening and my games just look abnormally different.

I havent tried any older drivers yet but no I havent installed anything that can alter my gpu or graphics ill try some older drivers and let you know how it goes.

Well go to AMD forums or reddit

I expect they're playing at a higher resolution than 1080p, which would help with the sharpness.

Yours kind of reminds me of setting a low quality or performance mode in the drivers (like applying a filter), or upscaling from a much lower resolution.

In that case the monitor needs adjustment. If monitor is not blanking out, system freezing or game just shutting down suddenly, nothing is wrong with that card.

It's 1080p, you will see shimmering no matter what. Other can be explained be the way that shadows are rendered and LOD scaling.

looks like 1080p to me.
DDU the drivers and if nothing has changed. this is how it looks.

If you don't want to get "shimmer" on too small pixels (on far away objects), just use FXAA or non-native resolution (first try with 80-120% scaling with smooth filter applied).

Suspected that at first but I already tried a different monitor I get the same the result so far I installed a older driver and re-seated my gpu and also clearing the cmos still nothing I cant tell if it really is maybe because its 1080p but just look at the destiny 2 test look at the trees the anti-aliasing just does not look right and im getting this just weird staircase effect through the anti-aliasing turning it off or on does nothing you can really see the weird shimmering effect in objects with fine details or just objects in the distance

Its not that i dont mind minor shimmering its like its being over exaggerated in my games and it annoys me quite a bit upscaling the resolution does fix it somewhat reduces the shimmering and blurriness but the broken anti-aliasing shit is still there

If you go to my gta test at around 0:32 seconds look at the building that cant be normal right?

Moire from very thin lines.
What about the shadow flickering could this just be the game engines?

In the destiny 2 test around 0:14 the construction in the distance the grey railings is it normal when I move its like the outlines of those railings are moving with me.

Could be anything:
- shadow settings,
- the way the game draws shadows at distance,
- ambient occlusion,
- AMD specific,
- it's cyberpunk.

Yes,

Report issue to game devs, it's nonsense to rma a working card.

besides cyberpunk- take the 30% loss in frame rate and enable VSR-1440 and call it a day.

What's the equivalent of a hypochondriac when it comes to GPU's?

There's nothing wrong with your card.

To me, it looks like it's either a bad AA or a bad sharpening setting in the driver. Or some kind of upscaling algorithm is turned on with too much sharpening. I agree with the above that nothing's wrong with the card.

It'll only cost you money...

I'd be willing to take the card off your hands at 33% the price you paid for it since you think it's broken:D;)

Only thing i see is a low quality video.

Which is a little lower percentage wise of those video's, like geez.

So I have a basically whole new build and when I play games I just get bad anti-aliasing I don't know if that's what's its called but basically in every game I play there's alot of shimmering, blurry textures in the distance, and lines like making a kinda staircase effect I dont know if its just cause im gaming on 1080p or its my pc.

PC Specs:

6700xt

750w RMx corsair psu

B560M PRO auros ax motherboard

intel i5 10400f

16gb ram vengeance lpx

noctua cooler nh15s

Turn the details up in game and in Adrenalin Control panel. Check the coarse/fine adjustment on monitor adjust your refresh rate. New monitor cable. Also Ghosting is still a problem on Flat Panel Monitors.

Without actually seeing what's happening, it's hard to tell what's wrong. Would you show us a video or screenshots of the observed effects - also the settings of the particular games?
