3dmark05 is cpu/ memory limited. My cpu and ram is faster than yours. I got a amd643200+(2ghz) clocked at 2.5ghz, for me to get 10k I got to somehow overclock to 2.6.(which wasnt stable when I tried it a few months ago.)

i been able to OC my core up to 725mzh, but the mem is just un-overclokable, i move it just a little biti and the my pc freezes, i just left it like that.

humm wow i wish i had known about this card b4 i bought my msi 1800xt, but i flashed it to pe in like 2 minutes and it didnt take any research at all so i guess the ease factor was worth the 40 extra bucks... i got mine for 250 after rebates, wich havnt come in yet

runing at 700/800... so far i cant realy test how far i can overclock as my motherboard hates ATi cards and when i put up a 3d app for a while my comp freezes... a lot of evga motherboards have these problems with the x1k series of ati cards, and i dont get it

but i think it should be able to put up 735+ and the mem should go to prob about 815-820 maybe more, but i wont run games on it like that just benches as they get realy hot, ill keep it at 700/800 for everday use

hmmmwhy im having problems then, my mem is like locked at 700mhz and i have the the same mem chips that the XT has.

yeah with a bios flash and u can probly find out the timmings on the xt pe cards then go and edit your bios

right i know about 2 BIOS editor, rabit and HEx editor, should those 2 be usefull as far as changing timings?

well i havnt realy expiramented on eiditing bios's, but u can do it in windows, with RaBIT but im not to sure how to do it, get the xt pe bios, open it up with that, right down the mem timings with it, then open your bios and look at the mem timings with it and see if its different, also look at voltage

and then u can try changing the timmings to the xt pe one by one just incase one isnt stable, then u can flash back, but thats how i would do it

it doesnt have to be, ur just making a bios with RaBIT then u can flash that to the card any way u like to flash ur cards

i was just looking at the bioses... xt campared to xt pe, theres no difference in mem timmings, but there is a difference in voltage for the gpu, and memory, just im not sure what the voltage on the memory is

no, go to your xl bios, rasie those ram timmings to the xt's, then save the bios under a different name, and make sure u have a backup of your working bios, then flash the modified bios with the xt mem timmings to your card and hope for the best, then u should be able to get the 800mhz ur looking for
