Is it possible to adjust the core voltage of an i5-6600? My main desktop has an i7-6700k and I found that the motherboard went overboard with voltages, which in turn led to nasty temperature spikes under synthetic testing - up to 92° or something. Manually setting the voltage to 1.24V (down from 1.39V) and adding 200Mhz just because dropped temps to around 70°. My case features little airflow though since I kind of like quiet systems.

Currently I'm considering a living room build with a Fractal Node 202 and an i5-6600, and given the situation with my i7 I'd like to be able to undervolt it if the need arises due to airflow concerns. Can I do that with a non-k? I'm aware that the multipliers etc. will be locked, but does it lock voltage settings, too?

EDIT: Thread can be deleted. I found a Sandy Bridge ITX board at work and will use that instead since I still have a 2500k and everything else to go with it lying around which requires substantially less financial investment.
