Hello guys, i just bought a new air cooler (A CM MA620p), and decided to overclock from 4.0Ghz to 4.5Ghz. Validation: https://valid.x86.fr/yykw8s
First i tried with 1.25v and everything OK, then started to lower the voltage to 1.20v All OK, but with 1,15v AIDA64 stable (test duration 2 hours, CPU + FPU + cache test) but then i tried PRIME95 26.6 (Smal FFT), at the 9 minutes i got a BSOD, so tested again with 1.16 and 1 hour later, everything was fine.
The temps where:
For stock
MAX CPU Temp: 64c (avarage of 60c)
VRM Max Temp: 51c
For 1.25v
MAX CPU Temp: 87c (average of 85c)
VRM MAX Temp: 58c
For 1.2v
MAX CPU Temp: 87c (average of 82c)
VRM MAX Temp: 56c
For 1.16v
MAX CPU Temp: 80c (average of 78c)
VRM MAX Temp: 54c
So now i just want to know if its safe to leave the 1.16 voltage even at idle for a 24/7 machine.
