What did you expect? Its a console port

Its not going to run at 999fps The game is probably engine limited.

Benchmark Scores Meh benchmarks.
Maybe try turning vsync off\on and go though the graphics cards app and turning vsynce on\off. Or even vise versa.

Is there any .ini files to be seen in the game folder or even in my documents \ appdata for the game ( might be under a few names ).

While in game does ALT+enter help ?.

Could all so try going to the application properties and trying compatibility mode or\and disabling fullscreen optimizations.

Ice Age 2 works great, you need a widescreen patch but you can go over 120 fps no problem.

It seemed a little too choppy even for 30 fps so I checked with MSIAB and voila, 24 fps, hard locked.
I guess since the PC is connected to a huge ass TV, it just detects the lowest possible framerate and goes with it.
I tried to force VSync off in AMD Adrenalin, disable fullscreen optimizations and tried W7, Vista and XP SP3 compatibility, nothing.
Alt+Enter doesn't work, the game doesn't support windowed mode :D
.ini files don't exist and I wasn't able to find anything in the registry either.
I guess she won't be playing this game :D

I tried on my side and it ran at 60 fps fine. Try checking your refresh rate on your TV, check to make sure you have the right cable revision for your tv's resolution (as in older hdmi cables only sending 30hz to 4k), or maybe are you using an emulator?

Sorry for the phone "screenshot," everything I tried to take a screenshot it flipped out on me. Fraps below since msiab only worked on one launch of the game.

Nvidia card on driver 536.99. Windows 11.

The cable is fine running on 4k60hz. I'm using the original PC version of the game, no emulation. She mostly games on 1080p because it's more of a temporary PC (RX 570 4GB) but I will try what happens if I go 4k native.

PC specs are:
Intel i5 4460
8 GB RAM
RX 570 4GB
hooked up to a 55" LG TV UR91

Edit: Same story, the game just defaults to 24 Hz :(
Will test the game on my main PC while using the TV as main display and see if it happens here too, maybe it's an AMD issue

It's just so terrible to play a game at 24 fps... My gf is not a gamer, she only got into it after getting together with me about 2 years ago(engaged now) and trust me, even she can't play it on 24 fps, 30 is bare minimum for games like The Last Of Us and 60 for racing games (her words) :D

But yes, until I fix the game she will be collecting some nuts.... In the previous instalment

It's a really fun game for beginners or for "cooling off" but missing jumps because of sh*t fps is not relaxing

The TV is running on game mode... at 24 FPS and "low latency" is on...
IMG_20240521_080947.jpg

Edit: Just installed the game on my main PC which is hooked up to the same TV.
Same thing, the game defaults to 24 Hz. If I try running it on my main monitor, it defaults to 50 Hz.
Why does this game keep defaulting on the lowest available refresh rate? :(

Maybe Emulate it. The wii or PS2 would be relatively easy and lighter than other console versions. pcsx2/dolphin I know all wii/gc games are 60fps for sure

I have a 4.91.2 CFW PS3... I can play the game natively but I wanted my gf to have it on her PC :D Also there's the benefit of running the game at 1080p or 4k etc. Most games on the PS3 run at native 720p
