So I purchased my new system components last friday:
P5KC
e6750
2G OCZ Reaper 8500 pn:2RPR10662GK
XFX 8800 GTS 320
THERMALTAKE PUREPOWER RX 550W
Needless to say I was excited to see what I could get out of this setup. However it seems the answer is close to SFA as there are issues with my board accepting the OCZ memory.
With everything on auto the memory is detected as 667Mhz 5-5-5-15 and will only boot into windows 1 out of 3 tries, yet once it does it's rock solid.
I've tried setting everything manually, increasing the Dram voltage to 2.4, leaving the 5-5-5-15 settings and bumping the TWR, TRFC, TWTR, TRRD, TRTP all the way up to 10, 42, 10, 10, 10 and it still won't post at anything higher than 800Mhz, and even 800Mhz is not stable.
So far I believe this is either a compatibility issue between the OCZ ram and the P5KC, bad ram or a bad mobo. Any of you guru's have any other questions, suggestions, or comments?
