IE Actually Gained Market Share In 2012!

    I'm glad to see it... But, now, does it get tracked if you use say chrome and have to use ie tab to view items?

    That would report as IE, since you technically are using IE, so yes.

    No surprises, both Chrome and Firefox does not hold significant advantages against IE anymore for the average user. Power users might still prefer those two though.

    IE is preinstalled on Windows RT and Windows Phone 7/8. Those might be driving IE's marketshare up.
