I'm defecting to nVidia...

TBF in the UK, you'll be lucky to get a few % discount from open box items, maybe £30-£40 cheaper than their selling RRP for something like a GPU, maybe @Blaeza can enlighten us? though who's buying a 6900XT at nearly £700 when you can get a 7900 GRE for a little over £500 that should in all accounts be better whilst using quite a lot less energy, better perf/watt, newer architecture etc etc
Sometimes the used one isn't just not cheaper, but more expensive.

Unless you're buying from a second-hand store, or eBay, you're only saving pennies at most. I have no clue why this is.

Because the Gigabyte card will have a better GPU in it.

Palit, PNY and Zotac for example usually get lower binned chips.

NVM the clocks at stock, Im talking about the Overclock - ability. The Gigabyte card will probably easily out-clock the rest of them. Not always but usually.

Brands like Galax, Asus, EVGA will buy into better binned chips and memory. Will have a better after-market PCB as well.

If OP is going for the new GPU, bear in mind also that Gigabyte has 4-year-warranty (after registering it on their site). Zotac has 5-year.
Palit, Galax, KFA has only 2-year warranty.

I would go for this Gaming OC which @AusWolf screenshoted. That is very good cooler. Quiet and efficient.

It was an isolated example. I've never seen any store offer refurbished cards with a discount bigger than a few quid, even when talking about the same model.

Edit: Here you go.

Huh, yeah that's interesting. These 2 are the exact same card, where the other example is a Palit vs Gigabyte. I was trying to extrapolate the reason why the possible large/r price difference.

Seems like it!

Sapphire have responded with "Did you try it in your old system?" To which I told them about trying other gpu's in both and I'm waiting for a reply.
Should have replied you tried 420 times
