There is no way that this gpu will be better than more than one year old RTX 4080 Super in raw p/p ratio (It's actually a downgrade) Another bad gpu from nvidia.

Let the wallet speak. Dont buy or go AMD.

I remember when Nvidia had sales. Now the demand is high enough they don't have to even try.
Thankfully, I'm not buying this year. Still, a bit shocking.

I don't know if RDNA5 (not 4) will have enough performance for me to upgrade. That's a while off yet.

Not buying anything is the only sane choice, unless you truly need a new dGPU.
On one hand yeah, on the other there's no reason to think prices will revert to normal. ASICs taking off in AI world is the biggest hope at this point, otherwise it's going to be the same shit in a couple of years.

In any case, 9070XT is getting more and more expensive by the day with prices like these. If Sapphire or XFX cards will be actually available at $749, they're going to look like a bargain, especially once the remaining 7800XT and GRE stock is sold out.

Looks like Nvidia intend to keep the 5000 series low in stock to keep their values afloat until 6000 series with 3nm nodes arrive in 2027

Whatever the alternative in mind, never buy a GPU in February.
It's the chaos month for the market and it usually comes back to earth mid-March.
I've gone through this situation three times already. 2010, 2013 and 2018.
Not doing this again in 2025. Don't do it.

Crap.

Well, there goes all hope for a <$600 RX 9070 XT. Now, I see why AMD was waiting...

Definitely won't. Reason: RDNA5 will not even exist.
Technically Correct. AMD has stated they're returning to a combined development strategy, after RDNA4.

Navi 1x was the beginning of RNDA/CDNA separation. Navi 4x will be the end of that separation.
UDNA is a return to combined' compute+graphics uArch development. (as seen throughout GCN 1.0-5.1)
