I'm doing this as a favor to my sweet 70 year old next-door neighbor.

She has a Nokia 6060 (RH-73), and used to enjoy passing time playing a game called "Galaxy Ball" on it.

Now by some mistake she removed the entire game from her phone.. She went to her service provider who told her so, and I confirmed it..

I told the poor dear I'd try my best to get her game back..

Now I have a couple of questions --

---is a usb connection available for this phone? Not for usb charging but for data transfer?

---does the phone support actual data transfer like a game from pc to phone?

---which is the best site to get this free game from? All the ones I tried ask for registering with my email address... (ugh makes me smell tons of spam)..

Thanks :respect:

spent about 15 minutes looking at EVERY site i could think of and there is no sign if that game :( sorry

That phone uses a data cable for PC connection. Ususally proprietary. The communication with the PC with those kind of Nokia phones usually happen with Nokia software. But to install a game you downloaded not from the phone but from your PC, it can get tricky.

There is a program that lets you access the phone; TKfileExplorer. Its basically an explorer for all your phones data, like My Computer. I had to use it with my Samsung Pixon I had.
Installing can get a royal pain in the ass, but that depends on the phone. With the Pixon, after shovelling the game to the phone I had to find the Administrator code for the phone and update the JavaDB. I dunno how it is for that 6060 tho.

As for the site with games, lemme check real quick I know of a site that may have it..

Edit 1: Seems Galaxy Balls is a game that was factory installed on the phone. Still looking...

BP it looks like that phone has a WAP browser and Nokia has a software store called Ovi. Maybe you download the game. http://store.ovi.com/ If you can't find Galaxy Ball maybe there is another game your neighbor might like.

Bonus! You know what that means? Restoring the phone to factory settings will get the game back.

I recommend to backup the phone book, pictures and any messages and restore the phone to factory settings.

May be. If it doesn't work, this is the only page with a downloadable .jar of Galaxy Balls.

http://koolwap.in/games_app/Galaxy-balls/jar/1.html

I do not know however if its legit, if its really what you seek and if its to be trusted. Try on your own risk.

Factory installed games are usually not openly available.

I've done it on a few phones. I like to save memory on my phones, so I delete games. Restoring to factory settings has always brought the games back in my experience (with Nokia's and Sony Ericsson's anyway - they're the only phone's I've had this sort of experience with). Updating service sometimes brings new games but can replace your old games ;)

Bump! Did you manage to get the game back BP?

We just got around to trying it today..

I tried to restore factory settings, but the phone asks for a security code. And she doesn't know it. I'll try to google for default security codes for Nokia 6060.........

The .jar you linked me to doesn't download at all..
And she doesn't have a phone to pc cable either :ohwell:

Edit: default code was 12345. But restoring to factory settings didn't get the game back
