well i decided many time ago to upgrade my GPU when possible, 2 years may be a good option, but sometimes my wallet can't afford it, so if you CPU/GPU still handle whatever you are playing you must take full advantage...

The 4970k is a beast and I was considering one of those and a GTX 900 series card, until I decided to wait for Skylake, 1151, Pascal and DDR4.

It's a great CPU though, I've yet to see anyone using one that can't run all games smoothly.
