I got this for a really good deal but I cannot get it to boot from my mobo. ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ which I also got a realy good deal on.

I am guessing there is a compatability issue or maybe something I am overlooking. The system can use it to store data just fine but will not boot from it.

if this cannot be remedied with the hardware i have what do you guys recommend i do?

get a compatible mobo or maybe get a different ssd that is compatible?

which option is cheaper?

idc about capacity as long as it can hold an os and is fast. at least 1000 mbps read and 750 mbps write.

lmk what your inputs are or if any of you guys have gotten this ssd to work!

Not all motherboards allow boot from PCI-e.
I'm not sure with AMD devices but Intel the chipset has to be Z97 or newer.
There may be a BIOS update needed, or perhaps you need a compatible Motherboard.
