How many got fired?

Exactly 432 and one half. Why do you expect me to have information on every employment number? Even if I were told the exact figure I'd have no reason to provide it, name names, or otherwise. I know that it happens, and that companies have policies in place that are enforced when information leaks can be traced back to an individual or team. This isn't news to anyone in the industry. Loose lips sink ships, you signed that NDA for a reason.

Sure, I know the policies too, but one doesnt exclude the other. Controlled leaks happen...

They are, it boggles my mind why you refuse to accept this basic fact.
Because it's not a fact?
I wanted to write another lengthy rant, but I think we are going way too deep into the rabbit hole.

Not too shabby... it puts NVIDIA and AMD on notice. Intel has the money to pull off even faster cards.
YES…Intel has the money to pull off even faster cards. In 2020, the company invested US$13.6 billion in research and development and US$14.3 billion in capital expenditures. It’s a monster…it’s a golden rule. He who has the gold makes the rule.

Indeed.

The alternative is that every release of GPU by Nvidia or AMD just happened to coincide with a Arc leak.

Just when a Epyc chip releases they're just happens to be a Intel server chip leak.

And when the competition release a laptop or desktop chip just happens to coincide with a raptor lake leak.

It's just a, convenient world all round eh, because all that's vice versa able.

NDA does indeed keep the pro media quite until someone else leaks stuff though that's true.

Fact or no fact something positive seems to be brewing. This said I would hope however that AMD ultimately gets out of the CPU making business altogether and concentrate solely in producing GPU’s. And leave Intel to be the dominant USA CPU producer because that is what they do best!

Got shares?!.

That's the stupidest statement of hope I have heard in a while.

I certainly don't hope Intel turns into a monopoly, that's the worse thing that could happen for me as a skint enthusiast.

What's not a fact ? That vendors don't fine tune their libraries ? I'd be great if you could write down that rant, it would be amazing seeing you trying to argue that this is not a thing.

They don't need to have 3090 Tie level performance. If it's at least a 3070, fairly priced, in stock, and Intel takes measures against scalpers (this last point I sort of doubt), then Intel will legitimately take the market by storm. It will be theirs. Don't screw this up please. The GPU drought is driving us insane.

It's probably just a matter of time. There are more and more Stock GPU theses days. Still overpriced, but they are in stock. That leave the option to buy direct instead of a scalper.

And with many cards now having 3+ years ROI, we might finally start to see a sell off of miners GPU. That should put pressure on current market price.

This is Raja. Let's see a real product test with real power consumption, clocks and configuration before you get excited. For all we know this thing drew 450w to achieve this.

Funny thing is the power draw is missing from the Sandra image. I smell fud.

Maybe this will scare those greedy bastards to make more cards and sell them for actually decent prices.

"This is 70% dead on arrival , since raja did his best is the vega 64 and he got kicked out of amd, raja more like a marketing stunt person from what he pulls at intel."
Vega was a architecture that Raja only came in on part-way through. Raja's first full design at AMD's Radeon division was RDNA. Do you still think he's a dumb dumb?

My most optimistic scenario for desktop is 3070ti level of performance in 4K for 512EU/16GB with $499 SRP, 3060ti level of performance in QHD for 384EU/12GB with $379SRP and -10% 1650 super level of performance in FHD for 128EU/4GB with $159 SRP and -3% 1650 level of performance in FHD for 96EU/4GB with $129 SRP, wonder how close (or far) I'll get lol

I still think he's marketing person than an enginnering one. Not that he's dumb but he knows how to sell and how to promote while the things he sold werent met up . Rdna isnt good .....it's a 7nm tsmc vs 8nm shamesung which equal to 10 nm tsmc . I did expect a bit more from amd , did try their 6800xt and 6900xt which is fine but the rest are trash tbh, they re good for overclocking for 15% more per and ddr6 is not hot as ddr6x . Rt performance is bad pretty much i dont care about dlss or fsr since they make everything a bit blurry to gain more fps and lower the details . Extra vram is good but the lack of support like shadow play and implentation for other software..... Perhaps with Raja the 6000 series is worse than in this current stage.

Raja is marketing-savvy, sure, but he IS a GPU engineer and a very good one. He was the Chief Technology Officer at ATI from 2001-2009, and then worked at Apple to help them with their graphics/retina display stuff. RDNA/RDNA2 are excellent designs. Don't try to dismiss them. They hold up very well against nVidia, and have kept Radeon in the game. RDNA2 is in the newest consoles, not nVidia. That's says something right there. Radeon has 'shadow play'. It's called 'Relive', and it works just as well as Shadow Play in most situations. I have an RX6800, and it's playing all the games I care about at 4K with mostly maxed settings. The 16GB of video memory means it's probably going to last me nearly as long as my previous R9 290 that I bought in 2013 for $259 Canadian, and I just sold to a friend who doesn't even have a card that powerful, so he play at 1080p.

really amd get out of CPU, If intel was only one making x86 cpus (one we would never of had the x86-64 we have today ( Tualatin / or itanium's ? anyone??) if intel was alone u think we would be getting 16 cores (8c/16t + 8c) P & E cores on 12900K etc. No and we sill be on single or dual cores (at most Quad-Cores which intel had for over decade LOL) SO NO AMD NEEDS TO STAY IN THE GAME!! WE NEED MORE COPANIES IN COMPETITION TO GET COSTS DOWN!!!! PLAIN AND SIMPLE ECONOMICS,( WATCH ON YOUTUBE TECHONIMICS POD CAST.
