I wanna point something out here. The duals are faster for gaming for one main reason, they OC higher than quads(well core2 do, we don't know about the lynnfields and havendales yet). Now we're getting OC'ing results on the I7s now, and the 920 is proving to be capable of OC'ing to 4 gigs. Now also add the fact that the I7 are faster clock for clock compared to core2's, the conclusion is pretty easy to see. A i7 920 OC'ed to 3.6-3.8 will beat my e8400 OC'ed to 3.8 in gaming.
