If its Cores and high clock kompromise you are after as it is with me. The 14 core looks to be the sweet spot.
But seriously only 2.6 GHz base clock on the 18 core. Deffently not a gamming CPU. sure you have turbo boost, but that is not on all cores.
higher base clock intel. That thing is 1999 USD and even AMD can clock a 16 core at 3.4 GHz while Intels 16 core counter part is only at 2.8 GHz.
This clearly shows me that those 14 core+ chips where never intented desktop but server original.
I am not impressed.
If i had to chose a cpu now from the skylake x models. It would the 14 core version. That seems to be the bedst suited for my use. I need high clocks for gaming and benchmark aswell as alot of cores to stream, video convert and so on.
