Chip maker Intel has just added the DX48BT2 motherboard to its website. Manufactured by Intel, the DX48BT2 Desktop Board offers the new X48 Express chipset with support for all Intel 45nmm Socket 775 processors operating up to 1600MHz FSB. It also has official support for DDR3 memory up to 1600MHz with XMP Extreme Memory Profiles. The board offers two PCI-e 2.0 16x and one PCI Express 1.0a x16 graphics slots. An 8-channel (7.1) Dolby Home Theater Audio codec and Gigabit LAN module are also presented.

I love how its the EXTREME series  that NB heatsink is pretty big..

I hate the way their northbridges and caoacitors are I would never buy a board made by intel.

Intel mobos works so far excellent, I own a Intel mobo for more than 2 years n still working good. I hope Intel mobos gonna support Nvidia SLI.

does it overclock?

some of them. I think just the extreme series does. My motherboard (D945pvs) doesn't overclock

hmm, looks suspiciously like a x38bt........
the reason im reluctant to upgrade is the feature set hasnt enhanced remarably from my current board...i see the emphasis on the dolby licences now...yay
my badaxe2 has the same audio...it sounds great...but just cuz you decide to market something that youve been supplying for three geneerations of extreme series boards just wont spark my interest....as far as ocing id expect nothing less than brilliant results...just like teh badaxes...bonetrail ftw:rockout:

I have the bonetrail X38 and support both 45nm 65nm processors, just the fsb 1600 and memory 1600 support are different the rest is the same as mine and overall looks the same, so no upgrade for yet.
