Intel Hit by a Devastating Data Breach, Chip Designs, Code, Possible Backdoors Leaked

Hi,
Frog legs taste like chicken :-)

I honestly can't find 'newtist' in any English dictionary. Typo or I'm just not on par?

We all know that everything tastes like chicken. And don't even get me started on Matrix quotes. :D

Newts are amphibians, like frogs.

Yeah but even their RND instructuons are flawed, so it's a moot point.

You can buy windows from Amazon but you can't buy Amazon from Windows.
Amazon apps are NOT banned from Microsoft Store and Microsoft Windows.

I got a better one. - How do you change the water pump on a porsche? You take out the engine.
Can't verify that, but I wouldn't doubt it there are some really awful repair jobs that require baffling things like that.

That's an example of when the engineers don't consult the mechanics so in the end the mechanics are cursing the engineers to the seventh level of hell.

I think my Toyota Rav4 is similar, you have to take out the engine to get access to the water pump, hence the water pump is usually changed each time you change the timing belt (which has to be changed regularly, every 100k km or every 5 years, whichever comes first).

Taken the engine out of a Toyota Rav4 it's a horror show to work on and drop the engine out from underneath the body.

People are still getting triggered by Internet comments about their imaginary sky deities in 2020? Wow.

No, not at all. It was to point out that multiple people earlier in the thread had their comment censored/removed by the mod for seemingly the same reference to sky deities. I was pointing out that if they don't want those kinds of comments on the site, then maybe they shouldn't be posting it themselves.
You're one of the few members left on this site that actually make rational comments... I'm surprised you fell a little short on this one.

I understand - I didn't see those comments before they were removed.

I find that very newtist. And yes, this is definitely a candidate for an LQ tag.

You opressive beast. I'm going to get the GEICO gecko, and beat the shit outta your pinky toe.

You forgot the /s did you?
Short for 'Backdoor Exposing Security Threat' I expect.

It's funny how when a site starts with their censorship (as so many did) with the often used excuse of 'protecting the visitors or the kids' their comment sections tend to dwindle to 3 to 5 comments per article and then the site dies.
Since this site has been doing it for quite a while it's impressive that they keep it alive actually.

TPU.

Tech Power Up.

Removing posts that degenerate into religious insults isn't censorship. It's common decency.

Indeed, not many forums left for people to have a civilized discussion, and where there's no ads (yes, no ads in the forum here), and where your data isn't sold to the highest bidder

Reason why people keeping coming back to TPU forums is probably because we actually remove such content

I agree with that 100%. The removal of those posts was never the issue. It was the staff member in #34 replying to those posts that are deemed not worthy of being seen with an equally low quality comment of their own. I find the fact that this same staff member liked your comment to be both funny and ironic.

Agree fully. I appreciate all of that effort. I apparently made the mistake of assuming a mod would be held to an equal or higher standard of discussion. With only about 20 minutes per day on break to catch up with the news (time that I give mostly to TPU only), I tire of wading through flame wars and shit talking just to find the couple handful of forum members that add insight and value to the discussion.

Sorry for stirring the pot, I'll move on.

See the lounge is busy.

Waait wot, this isn't the lounge.

If I had posted half this bull it would be removed.

Censorship is supposed to be fair ideally!.

Now OT for the first time this page.

Have Intel updated their stance on this or did the dramma autofold after a day?.
