The new Intel P35 chipset will make its debut soon. Hardspell has tested the performance of the chipset against Intel's own P965 and NVIDIA's 680i. Their findings show that the P35 chipset exhibits a similar level of performance to the P965 chipset. However, when it is paired up with DDR2-1066 modules, the performance is boosted and exceeds the NV-680i in games.

yikes guess this is intels bid for dx10 performance should produce some sweet results with the new hardware coming out any word on ddr3 support

Rih hih heally! Well I wanna see how sexy this board is...any pics yet?

EDIT : sorry, didnt see you already posted the picture

Intel has always made fine chipsets and motherboards. This one looks like a beaut. Cant wait to see some benches on this bad boy.

Hm, Asus Stiker Extreme or Asus P5K Deluxe ...

Dammit. Why can't they just make an i975 that can clock faster???

thats o.k., i posted a pic of the ddr3 version anyway, thats the ddr2 one you pictured (note different coloured ram slots & extra heatpipe)

All I want to know is, how well will it clock? Can't wait to find out.

That's how DDR2 started out also, it's gonna be a while before they get a grip on maximizing performance from DDR3. Hell they're still getting more out of DDR2, I don't see any point in moving to the next gen memory yet...price/performance ratio not worth it. But this may make perfromance DDR2 more competetive to keep people buying it and to get even more performance and OC-ability.

yeah it was. nice thing is, its standard settings of 1066. where as ddr2 started at 533, then 667 then 800 and now some are factory set to 1066.

unless you need SLI, grab the Asus P5K Deluxe, been playing with my Asus P5K Deluxe for past 4 1/2 days http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=4027

Asus P5K Deluxe is a very solid board which is basically a merging of everything that is good on Asus P5W DH, Asus P5B Deluxe, Asus 680i Striker extreme, Asus Commando and Asus P5W64 WS Pro motherboards all rolled into one board = P5K Deluxe :D

Yes but has this merger succeeded, I have seen many boards evolve from others within a manufacturers range but quite often they dont quite live up to expectations.....they nearly always live up to a significant price hike tho!
