A crappy consumer for wanting HT on a pentium? My guess is you;ve had too much of Intel, stocks &/or hardware, over the years.

Yes because engine turbo can be switched off, by laser or whatever Intel uses to turn i3 into a Pentium or celeron?

Entry level isn;t defined by some random features, you feel are rightfully knocked off from a Pentium or Celeron.
go home, you're drunk.

Wrong move for intel. A g4560 sale is still an intel sale. Except for the intel fanboys, consumers will shift to the lower priced AMD low end processors. I was going to build a unit with g4560 in it but my store said it was already "phased out" by intel and they are not selling it anymore. This is a top computer store in my country. So I'm looking to build an AMD unit instead. No way I'm going to pay double for a 400mhz increase.

Hard to believe they are phased out, with Skylake dead, the are no cheaper Celerons and Pentiums, that leaves the G4560 as the "one true King" of the low end on Intel, unless you count the Atom variants.

Here in Argentina they are still in stock, a bit more expensive, but it's hard to tell if that's stock or our glorious inflation doing it's work.

It was truly an awesome budget CPU, had it before this 7600K. Also recommended it to my friend when he made a budget upgrade from FX-4100.

Well, at least that's only half a lie. That store may not be selling it anymore, but Intel still lists it as an active product. Mining may have wiped out the supply, but don't blame Intel for that.

I find it hard to believe as well. As they have abundant stock for G4400. But I've already inquired with 3 more large computer stores here and they all said the same thing. They have no more stock of it coz intel won't replenish their stock anymore, effectively phasing it out. I guess I can buy abroad with the additional shipping cost but I'm pretty sure it won't be worth it.
