Intel became the official PC hardware partner for the PC version of Marvel's Avengers last year and it seems like Intel is looking to take advantage of that with new limited edition "KA" Avengers series processors. Trusted leaked @momomo_us recently discovered listings for several of these Intel "KA" series processors on a Vietnamese retailer. It appears Intel is preparing to release 4 processors across their i5, i7, and i9 lineups these being the i5-10600KA, i7-10700KA, i9-10850KA and i9-10900KA. These processors should be identical to their K series counterparts apart from the commemorative packaging and the possible inclusion of Marvel's Avengers game codes. These processors will likely see a global release in the coming weeks/months in preparation for the launch of Marvel's Avengers on September 4th.

Erm... what? Well, it's not anywhere near April 1st...

Most Avengers stuff I see is on kids toys. Avengers bicycles+helmets and the like.

Intel are starting to look less of some big hardware manufacturer and more of toy maker.

Someone inform Intel that after the final Avengers movie and the clossing of theaters because of coronavirus, Avengers is a little not exactly in fashion. More like old news. But then again, Intel CPUs ARE old news....Hmmmmmmm

How about they start making "DIAF"-series CPUs? Marketing BS...

Not my kind of tháng

Im guessing this is more for the upcoming Avengers game, rather than the movie.

My thougts exactly. This would have been a good tie-in in 2018 and 2019.

I bet most people don't even know there's an Avengers game coming. And even if it's for that i can't imagine what the marketing will say - "Avengers, runs best on Intel CPU's"
Translation: "Avengers, runs best on 720p low on Intel CPU's"

"in preparation for the launch of Marvel's Avengers on September 4th."
Don't they mean re-release.
It's not like people don't know about or have seen them before.

It's about Avengers War Table the game and it actually looks good, might not be though...time will tell.

It's a subtle sign of the time's, their competition used game bundles for years when they were less competitive.
Now Intel needs help shifting chips.

You mean not your KAnd of thing?

Sorry, I'll see meself out.

Nah it was 'tháng'

i'm expecting the "Shrek" branded ones ; i heard rumors that these will be on -10nm...

Just LOL....Intel has nothing new at all and does these things....
If these CPU's actually happen this will hurt them more then benefit.

I wait for the batman ones on 10 nm, or whatever they want to call them, to replace my i5 9600k

uh wat... is this a real thing?

No, they mean the game that's being released on September 4th.

What do you do when you can't deliver 7nm? You jump the Marvel hype train.

What a joke for a company.
Btw, I really do not care if it's about the avengers game. It's stupid no matter how they spin it.

It was pretty big news a couple years ago due to SQEnix announcing that all Deus Ex and Tomb Raider games would be sidelined (other than Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which was nearing release at the time), so that its Eidos Montreal/ Crystal Dynamics people could devote all the company’s effort to a game based on Marvel’s Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy. I gave my own less than enthusiastic opinion on that move right here on the TPU thread about it. We still haven’t even gotten to the Guardians of the Galaxy IP yet...
