Hi all!
Feel like sharing thoughts about Turbo Boost 3.... for those interested in reading or commenting.

Things that surpise me:
- You can't uninstall (without tricks) the Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 app, it comes back. Independent from the choice it gives you to enable it or not.
- This app always shows up fully opened when you start your pc.
- ROG "guru's" guides recomend to disable it when overclocking, logically of course.
- Others say it doesn't improve performance much when enabled.
- How to test this? (aida64 comes to mind, never done it, but it would take a lot of time to test under different circumstances)
- You already have let's say 8 or more HT cores and some have an asterisc (*): these will 'go turbo' first during heavy duty tasks.
- During the day, if you check the cores with Task Manager, you will see no (stict) pattern in processor core usage: sometime one core is loaded, sometimes another. Sometimes all, sometimes just 2. With or without Turbo 3 enabled.
- Then you can assign specific programs to the Turbo 3 application,or set it to use the foreground application (the most obvious choice for most I am sure!)
Uninstall, leave on auto, set manually and with what benefit? Those are my gruweling questions and I am sure that I am not the only one
