I have for the very first time got a situation where i'm about to hoist white flags...
Everything was working fine untill some RAM issues. Failing module was identified and removed. System was restored, disks checked, system files checked (sfc.exe), performed additional testing - system runs stable and smoothly as ever.
However there is one thing - after installing video card drivers video seems to work ok, but after reboot device does not load properly and is with "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" status. Naturaly system behaves as if video driver was not present, only MS default vesa compatible vga device.
Now, the card itself is OK. Other card (5200) gives the same behavior - works just after driver install, but is in that failed status after any system reboot.
Things that have been tried:
checked multiple video cards;
tried different drivers (forceware and omega);
drivers installed after cleaning old ones with DH driver cleaner pro;
disabled USB controllers that had same IRQ's with VGA;
changed HAL to Standard PC;
I have ran out of options... Maybe anyone had anything similar problem and resolution that didn't involve reinstall? Because reinstall is NOT and option with this system.
Please please share your ideas on this
